A perfect holiday on Lake Como. Local expert advice.

Real estate agent Hanna Fitsner shares her top three tips on how to enjoy a great holiday on Lake Como in the high season without breaking the bank!

  1. See the lake from the water, preferably from a private boat, not from the deck of a steamer. If you don’t want to pay 500 euros for a taxi boat, get behind the steering wheel of an easy-to-drive speedboat for 60 euros an hour.

  2. Go for a walk early in the morning. Buy some bread, cheese, and wine, and make yourself a fantastic picnic.

  3. Rent a villa. It’s the best way to enjoy your holiday in peace. Many villas are equipped like 5-star hotels and include such facilities as a spa center,
a gym, and concierge. Make luxury available by splitting the cost between your friends.

My agency, Best Como, will help you find a suitable option.
